BET partners Brooklands Museum to deliver Innovation Academy

11th May 2022

Bourne Education Trust is delighted to partner Brooklands Museum in their launch of the Brooklands Innovation Academy - an annual programme that aims to inspire young people to study STEM and become the next generation of scientists and engineers with a mindset that leads to innovation.

Part of the National Science Summer School programme, co-founded by Professor Brian Cox CBE, Lord Andrew Mawson OBE and Wellnorth Enterprises, Brooklands will deliver the academy in partnership with BET, supported by leading businesses and donors including GlaxoSmithKline, McLaren Automotive and Cargill. There will also be an inspirational key event hosted by Professor Cox at Brooklands Museum later this year, which will be attended by 400 secondary school students, including many from Bourne Education Trust schools.

Alex Russell, CEO said: 'Bourne Education Trust is thrilled to be working with Brooklands Museum on such an important programme; inspiring our young people to become the next generation of innovators. A special mention must also go to Isaac from Jubilee High School and Joseph from Chertsey High School who were invited to represent the Trust at the launch and deliver a presentation on their experiences from the Aim Higher Space Gala and their future aspirations - well done Isaac and Joseph we couldn't have been more proud!'
