Philip Southcote School joins Bourne Education Trust

1st Dec 2023

Bourne Education Trust is delighted to announce that Philip Southcote School joined the Trust as a full member on the 1st December 2023. Having collaborated closely with BET as an associate member over the past several years, Philip Southcote will now assume full academy status within our Chertsey and Addlestone cluster of schools.

Catering to pupils aged 11 to 19 with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), Philip Southcote is recognized for its commitment to providing an exceptional educational experience, focusing on preparing pupils for adulthood while fostering a sense of belonging and safety throughout their educational journey.

Spread across five sites within Surrey, each tailored to meet the individual needs of its diverse pupil body, Philip Southcote School offers a comprehensive educational approach. The main school, with a 3-form entry, serves pupils aged 11 to 16 years, while the sixth form, a state-of-the-art facility located at The Meads, caters to pupils aged 16 to 19 years, providing an ideal environment for their continued growth and development.

In addition to these core facilities, Philip Southcote School operates satellite centres within 3 BET mainstream secondary schools, including Chertsey High School, Epsom and Ewell High School and Kings International School (a BET associate member). These centres extend the reach of Philip Southcote's specialised educational offerings and contribute to the broader educational landscape.

Alex Russell, CEO of Bourne Education Trust, said: "Philip Southcote School is a beacon of excellence in their field, and we are thrilled to be able to welcome them to the Trust as a full member. The team’s commitment to their pupils aligns seamlessly with our values and we look forward to our continued collaboration; empowering every young person on their unique educational journey."

The addition of Philip Southcote School further strengthens Bourne Education Trust's mission to provide outstanding education across its network of schools where every pupil can thrive.
