BET Year 11: Student Success

25th Aug 2022

Despite several years of interruptions to their education, the Bourne Education Trust’s eight secondary schools celebrated examination success today in both GCSEs and BTECs.

Year 11 students across the Trust rightly felt proud about their achievements after two years of disruptions to their education. Their results are a real testament to the commitment of them, their families and their teachers. It was the first year for Chertsey High School, which opened in 2017, to receive year 11 results which was an exciting and positive experience for the school.

Chief Executive Officer, Alex Russell OBE, commented on the results: ‘This fantastic set of results across all our schools reflects the flexible and proactive way our colleagues, students and families responded to the challenges of lockdown. I am hugely proud of our year 11 students and wish them every success in their next steps.'

Many students will move on to BET 6th forms, others are preparing to move onto further education colleges to complete a range of courses or are following vocational apprenticeships.
