8th May 2022Bourne Education Trust is delighted to announce the following senior appointments to augment the current structure of its central education team.
From September 2022, Penny Alford will assume the role of Chief Education Officer – providing education leadership across all settings and phases of learning. Having joined the Trust in September 2019, Penny has successfully led BET’s Hampshire schools and Chertsey, Addlestone and Staines cluster through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, post recovery and a number of successful Ofsted inspections whilst forging key strategic partnerships within the communities that our schools serve. Penny is an integral member of the Trust’s executive and also currently leads BET Futures – the think tank arm of BET looking to drive innovation within our schools.
Mary Rome will join our team of education directors from Philip Southcote School. Mary is a highly respected leader within specialist SEND provision in Surrey and will be a key appointment in furthering the Trust’s ability to provide a truly inclusive education across all settings.
As a final layer of support, Clare Goldsmith, Zelia Munnik, James Newman and Rochelle Richmond will join the Trust as Education Leaders – a new role for 2022 and one that will further expand the leadership capacity of the central team to ensure all education objectives are being met effectively and the quality of education provided by our schools is consistently high.
