Bourne Education Trust is delighted to announce that Chertsey High School has been deemed a ‘Good’ school following its first inspection by Ofsted.

Following their visit, inspectors commended teachers, pupils, and the school's leadership, noting pupils to be ‘confident and articulate members of a passionate and thriving community’.

Personal development at the school was considered to be outstanding with leaders providing ‘high quality education that is ambitious for all pupils’ with ‘clear routines’ ultimately making the school a ‘very calm environment in which to learn’.

Inspectors found that staff and pupils were ‘rightfully proud to attend Chertsey High School’ further complimenting the excellent practices seen within curriculum planning, the support in place for SEND pupils and superb extra-curricular provision.

Trust CEO, Alex Russell said: ‘This is a incredibly positive achievement for the team at Chertsey High School. They have worked tirelessly over the past 5 years to ensure that their students have thrived both during the move from temporary accommodation and the COVID-19 pandemic. The school and all its staff should be incredibly proud and we look forward to working with them on the next steps of their journey.’
