23rd Feb 2022BET is participating in an international research project with Kings College, London, Deakin University, Australia and the University of Helsinki.
The project aims to explore how different regulatory environments (i.e. inspection, national assessments, etc.) impact on teachers and their practice, shape the ways in which teachers imagine their role, and formulate the expectations around what constitutes ‘good teaching’.
To explore this, UK teachers will be immersed within regulatory environments that are drastically different from their own. Four teachers from BET (Meadow Primary School and Epsom and Ewell High School) will travel to Helsinki between 13th - 17th March, hosting their Finnish counterparts between 20th - 24th March to undertake this work.
