COP26 - Everest Community Academy' and Future Visions featured on BBC

31st Oct 2021

With climate change having gone from being a fringe issue to a global priority over the past three decades and COP26 upon us, we are delighted that the BBC has shared the voice of our pupils with multiple news features covering Everest Community Academy's performance with the Grange Festival and WWF as part of 'Future Visions' - an original creative response to a global emergency by the future custodians of our planet.

Helping over 250 young people, aged seven to 23 years, express their hopes for a sustainable future, the films created as part of Future Visions are intended to be shown at a number of global conferences, including COP26 in November, to drive conversations about how to sustain life on Earth.

Alex Russell, CEO said: 'We are immensely proud of our pupils at Everest Community Academy. Climate change is a global emergency and through the fantastic work of The Grange Festival and WWF, their voice will now be heard on a global stage.'

We hope that many of our community saw or heard the BBC coverage and hope to be able to share this with you shortly.
