25th Nov 2024Bourne Education Trust is delighted to announce that Hampton High has been rated 'good' across all areas following their recent Ofsted inspection, reflecting the school's ongoing commitment to providing an excellent education for all its pupils.
Inspectors praised the school's inclusive approach and strong leadership stating, 'this is an inclusive school where leaders are ambitious for all pupils'. Pupils 'feel safe' and 'know that they can talk to staff about any concerns they may have.'
Throughout the report, the quality of education was recognised as a key strength with inspectors noting 'Leaders have created an ambitious curriculum,' particularly commending 'the well-designed curriculum' and 'highly effective' provision for children with SEND, supported by teachers with 'strong knowledge of the subjects that they teach.' The report also recognised the effective governance structure in place, noting that 'Trustees and those responsible for governance offer valuable support and challenge.' This oversight, combined with the united ambition of staff to build on their success, provides a strong foundation for the school's continued development.
During the visit, the school's commitment to personal development was celebrated, with inspectors commenting on the various leadership opportunities available to pupils, including roles in the student leadership team and as prefects. The range of enrichment activities was further highlighted, with pupils benefiting from exciting trips to destinations such as Barcelona and Lille.
