13th Nov 2024This term, we are delighted to announce the appointment of four new trustees to the Bourne Education Trust board. These individuals bring a wealth of experience and expertise that will undoubtedly strengthen our leadership and contribute to the continued success of our Trust.
John Balchin
John joins our board as a trustee and will serve on the performance and standards committee. He brings over 25 years of experience in strategy, operations, and business transformation. John has worked as a senior business manager and COO across multiple industries, both in corporate roles and as a consultant. His governance experience includes serving as a governor at Jubilee High School in Addlestone, where he held the position of chair for 4 years. John holds an Executive MBA from the London Business School.
Pooven Maduramuthu
Pooven joins our board as a trustee and will be part of the resources committee. He has extensive experience in helping public sector organisations improve efficiency through business change transformation and digital technology implementation. Currently, Pooven is working with the NHS to leverage digital solutions for better healthcare delivery. He also holds an Executive MBA from the London Business School and a PHD from Imperial College, London.
Helen Norris
Helen joins our board as a trustee and will also serve on the resources committee. She brings a wealth of experience as a C-Suite executive and HR professional within the financial services sector. Helen is also a senior executive coach and mentor. Her governance experience includes serving as vice-chair and chair of the business committee for a Surrey primary school. Helen has significant expertise in sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) matters.
Sarah Wild
We are equally pleased to welcome Sarah Wild as a trustee, who joined our board at the end of last term. Sarah brings a unique perspective with her extensive experience in special education. She is the Headteacher of Limpsfield Grange, the UK's only school specialising in educating autistic girls. Sarah has 18 years of experience in school leadership, strategic planning and people leadership, gained in both state special and mainstream education sectors. She is a founding member of the National Autism and Girls Forum and the National Association Advancing Autism Education. Additionally, Sarah serves as a member of the Autism Champions (Oxon) Advisory Board.
