We are delighted to announce the appointment of Duncan Hewson as the new headteacher of Everest Community Academy from February 2024. Duncan brings with him a wealth of experience and a profound commitment to education, making him an exceptional addition to our educational community.

With an extensive career spanning various secondary school settings, Duncan’s experience of managing both high-performing and complex institutions, has equipped him with a versatile and insightful approach to education, and in expressing his philosophy, Duncan stated, ‘I have had the privilege of working in a number of secondary schools and what I have learnt to date is that there is no single, universal way to do things, and the greatest successes come from a united team that adapt what they do to the needs of the community they are serving. I will have a huge amount to learn about the Everest community when I arrive, but I have already been impressed by the positivity and welcome I have received from students and staff.’
