It’s time for me to sign off as chair of Bourne Education Trust as my term of office ends. It has been an incredible decade as chair, and before that, as a governor of Epsom and Ewell High School, the very first school in our Trust. 

I am immensely proud of the achievements our pupils, colleagues, executive team and board have made together. We have grown from one school to one of the largest trusts in Surrey, a £100 million operation with 21 schools plus associates and many in the pipeline waiting to join us. It has been an honour and a privilege to serve on the board.  As a former pupil of Epsom High School, inspirational teachers sent me out into the world equipped to forge a successful career. It has been my pleasure to pay that forward. Thanks to everyone in the Bourne Education Trust family for a fabulous first decade.  To our pupils, colleagues and the board … ‘Be the best you can be!’
